Friends of Aviara Middle & Elementary Schools Foundation (FAME) is a non-profit 501 (C) 3 organization established in 2002 by parents and administrators concerned with the reduced funding available from local, state and federal government sources.
In order to answer the growing needs of our students, staff and schools with regards to technology, facilities, and support for the arts, fundraising events such as the North County Grand Tasting,, Save the Music, Community Tag Sale, and Pumpkin Patch Sale have been held.
To date, FAME has contributed $350,000 for programs directly benefiting students at Aviara Oaks Elementary and Aviara Oaks Middle Schools. We also work diligently to increase the endowment fund established for the future student populations at both Aviara Schools.
We look to our parent and corporate community to continue to support our efforts to provide the highest level of education for our two California Distinguished Schools, Aviara Oaks Elementary and Aviara Oaks Middle School.

Vision and Mission | | Vision: | | By creating a partnership between public schools and community-based leaders, Friends of Aviara Middle and Elementary Schools will establish a mutually beneficial, long-term relationship between the schools and the community in which they operate. In undertaking this effort, the Foundation will set a standard for creating vibrant education-centered communities. | | Mission: | | The mission of Friends of Aviara Middle and Elementary Schools is to provide an environment that will enhance the ability of our students to become involved and community-oriented citizens. By bridging the increasing cost of a high quality education with reduced level of government funding, we will ensure that our students have the necessary tools to fulfill their potential for intellectual and emotional development. It is the intent of this Foundation to financially support long-term improvements in academics, technology, personal development, art, music, and facilities to fully prepare our students to ultimately be an active, contributing member of our community. | Key Objectives | | Technology | | Technology is an integral part of the school curriculum and is used to support learning of state and technology standards. Each school has one computer lab and one to four computers in each classroom. Two servers are used to host educational programs and student data. All classrooms are equipped with an internet-connected teaching station used to enhance instruction in all curricular areas. | | Academics | | The Foundation’s academic commitment focuses on continuously striving for the highest quality education for our children. FAME will allocate funds not provided by the state for the fundamental resources that enable students to achieve academic excellence. Furthermore, our goal is to provide our teaching staff with essential training to improve curriculum and enhance skills needed to effectively instruct students. | | Personal Development | | Through character building programs such as Lion’s Quest and interactive social programs like Playground Partners, our students will continue to develop the ethical and social skills that will help them to become effective community leaders. FAME intends to support these programs and provide other offerings to enhance and reinforce the personal growth of our students. | | Art/Music | | Students are provided the opportunity to explore the visual and performing arts through standards-based elementary and middle school elective programs. Equipment, supplies and instructional materials are supported through the Foundation as needed. | | Facilities | | Friends of Aviara Middle and Elementary Schools Foundation is dedicated to providing all students and community members with the highest quality facilities necessary to enhance the educational process. The foundation will assist the schools to ensure that facilities reflect their outstanding educational environment and that they are consistent with the high standards of the community |
